In 2021 one of our competitors had to shut down their business, leaving AS Hurum Plastindustri with a golden opportunity to establish itself in Mid-Norway, and so we did. The initial plan was to buy their machines and equipment, but after hearing that the facilities would also be up for sale, the opportunity to rise in a new market occured. Terje Skogheim is today employed as the new leader of the department and is now in charge of running the highly modern machine park which is around 1500 square meters, with equipment such as an 5-aksial milling machine, all in close collaboration with our facility on Sætre. The main focus area of this department lies in buoyancy elements, thermoplastics and rehabilitation and coating of tanks and vessels. By allocating resources from our other department or with help from our partners, the new department in Trøndelag will also be able to take on bigger projects.
